Position Summary

The Retail Food & Beverage Warehouse Supervisor is a member of the Food and Beverage team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Retail Food & Beverage Warehouse team. This includes order placement, receiving goods, order delivery and minor equipment maintenance.

This is a casual, part‑time position requiring the successful candidate to work flexible hours during the week and on weekends. The role will average approximately 40 hours per week from April to August, then shift to an as‑needed, event‑based schedule in September.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the safe, timely, efficient and effective shipping and receiving functions for the Food and Beverage Department based within the GMC building. This includes but is not limited to receiving and distributing stock, ensuring that orders are correct and that products meet health and safety standards.
  • Liquor & Food Ordering – Place all Food, Beverage and Liquor orders online using Liquor Connect, GFS, Coke, and other suppliers.
  • Liquor & Food Receiving – Receive and verify all liquor & food orders.
  • Oversee Liquor and Food Movement – Redistribute Food and liquor to appropriate Food & Beverage areas in the GMC and other venues on park.
  • Set Up and Tear Down of Stampede Time Venues – Prepare Liquor Room, inventory storage areas, and C-cans for maximum storage and ease of inventory control.
  • Supervise:
  • Warehouse stock team. Team responsible for keeping bars and concessions stands stocked before, during and after events.
  • F&B forklift drivers. Those responsible to move products within the shipping receiving area and between the F&B venues.
  • F&B maintenance/recycling team. Oversee the team responsible for sorting cans & bottles for the recycling depots.
  • Inventory Control – Accurately account for inventory items and complete all required paperwork to department standards.
  • Maintain stock of all perishable foods, non-perishable foods, beverages, and paper products.
  • Organize all remaining food, beverage, liquor, and paper products post-Stampede for return to suppliers where possible.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have the ability to multi-task. They will have the ability to work in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities and will hold the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of related warehouse experience.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license required.
  • Previous forklift experience is preferred. Certification will be required upon hire.
  • High School Diploma
  • Staff supervision of larger teams.
  • Previous experience coaching and training of team members.
  • Possess a sound work ethic, positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) is an asset.
  • Must be competent in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Adequate visual acuity and colour vision are required.
  • Knowledge of FoodTrak or similar food inventory system is an asset.
  • Ability to adapt and react to last-minute requests.
