THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
The IT Business Analyst is the main contact between projects and business partners. They are a skilled analyst responsible for gathering requirements for complex technology initiatives and ensure that all business requirements are satisfied throughout all phases of a project. They are also the first point of contact for production systems support. This position will report to the Manager - IT Delivery Services.
- Facilitate communication with business stakeholders to determine a clear understanding of business needs and objectives.
- Responsible for understanding current and future adjudication processes, including processes across the enterprise.
- Analyze business challenges and define conceptual and detailed requirements for technology solutions using a variety of techniques.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Contribute to user story creation, sizing, and the development of detailed requirements. Support user acceptance testing, as well as implementation and deployment activities, to ensure successful sprint outcomes.
- Collaborate with technical teams to determine integration and performance testing requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring coverage of requirements and test scenarios.
- Stay informed of industry business trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Effectively analyze and troubleshoot production system issues to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Perform data analysis and support decision-making using Oracle SQL and PL / SQL.
- Work closely with developers and technical support teams to resolve production support issues.
