Job description
Dependable Truck & Tank Limited was founded in 1975 and is, as it began, a family operated business. Our innovative design and engineering concepts allow us to manufacture cargo tanks, trailers and emergency vehicles to our client’s specifications. We manufacture versatile cargo tanks and trailer tankers for the distribution of petroleum products and other bulk related products. We also manufacture tankers for municipal maintenance applications. Our custom tanks range in size from 2000 litre truck-mounted units to 60,000 litre B-train units.
We are looking for a B620 Tanker Inspector to work on Tanker Trucks.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform B620 inspections on petroleum cargo and bobtail propane tanks; (internal and external).
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts of petroleum/propane pumps on heavy trucks.
  • Perform low and high pressure tests on tanks and their equipment using both air and water to identify any faults and for leaks.
  • Pressure test, repair and replace delivery hoses and fittings.
  • Disassemble equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  • Reassemble equipment after competition of inspections, testing or repairs.
  • Clean, lubricate or adjust parts, equipment and valving.
  • Inspection experience with the following components: Valves, pumps, tanks, piping, fittings, heavy machinery.
  • Experience with working on Heavy trucks is an asset.

Skills:
  • DIESEL TRUCKS/Automotive experience is as asset.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • MUST have own tool set.
  • Able to prepare accurate reports.
  • Ability to use air tools and small hand tools.
  • Punctual attendance.
  • Eagerness to work and get the job done right.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs..
