Receiving Inspector II

Receiving Inspector III will complete First Article Inspection activities, inspection of detail parts, sub- assemblies, major assemblies, and associated supplier supplied parts to meet engineering drawing and technical specifications by carrying out dimensional, functional and visual inspections using precision instruments correctly (micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, to determine the compliance to drawings and engineering specifications

Shifts

Must have flexibility to work rotating day and afternoon shifts as required.

Responsibilities

Inspect and support of the inspection of rejected parts released to the production area.

Use of I-Tag system to reject parts not meeting Engineering specifications.

Monitors daily I-Tag status and updates, monitors and closes in a timely fashion.

Works with quality, engineering and other departments necessary on root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

Understanding of the use of precision instruments micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, height gauges, depth gauges.

Knowledge and understanding of GD&T

Understand of AS 9102 (FAI Requirements)

Understanding of MHICA drawing and technical specification systems

Knowledge of the I-Tag system and flow of I-Tag process

Capability for MRB accreditation per MHICA requirements

Clear knowledge of structural and functional integrity of aircraft components.

Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

Experience

Minimum 5 years previous experience as Quality Inspector in aerospace or prior MRB experience.

Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience working as a QA Inspector for specific aircraft and assembly process.

Experience within an aerospace or manufacturing environment, considered an asset.

Quality experience in other industries considered an asset.

Experience with measuring tools / devices.

Working experience of FAI (First Article Inspection) process.

Must or Ability to have knowledge and working experience of I-Tag process.

Comfortable computer skills including MS Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

Education

Education Diploma in related field
