Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance System Implementation Specialist for our client based in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, combined with hands-on experience in implementing accounting software systems. This role focuses on the financial aspects of system implementation, ensuring seamless integration with accounting processes and compliance with financial regulations.
This is a 8-10 month contract with the possibility of extension.
RESPONSILIBITIES :
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their accounting needs and requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones for accounting system implementation
- Coordinate with software vendors and IT teams to ensure alignment of system capabilities with accounting needs.
- Configure accounting software systems to meet company-specific requirements, including chart of accounts, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Conduct thorough testing of the accounting system to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with financial regulations.
- Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the testing phase.
- Oversee the data migration process from legacy systems to the new accounting software.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy during the migration process.
- Conduct data validation and reconciliation to ensure completeness and correctness.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for accounting staff on the new system.
- Provide ongoing support to end-users, addressing any questions or issues related to the accounting system.
- Create user guides and documentation to assist with system navigation and functionality.
