Who is GCM Consultants?
We are a local engineering firm that has been helping customers in all industries with engineering, operations and maintenance since 1994. On a daily basis you will have to:
  • Prepare instrumentation and control specifications.
  • Produce procurement specifications.
  • Participate in P&ID reviews.
  • Supervise preparation of technical drawings.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys.
  • Contribute to the implementation of and compliance with procedures and best practices.
  • Propose and implement improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.



Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering Diploma
  • Member of APEGNB is an asset
  • Experience in any industrial field is an asset
  • Spoken and written languages: English (French is an asset)



You are the one we are looking for if you have:
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • The ability to quickly converge in problem solving.
  • Knowledge of CAD and 3D Modeling (an asset).
  • Knowledge of industrial automation (an asset).
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, human-machine interfaces (HMI), distributed control systems (DCS) and safety systems (an asset).
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits and power distribution (an asset).
  • A keen sense of resourcefulness.
  • Ability to communicate in French is an asset as you may be required to collaborate with colleagues and clients outside of Saint John.
