Job description

Doing business to business, person to person. Payworks is a leading workforce management solutions provider and multi-year winner of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. We are proudly Canadian and committed to developing world-class products and providing a progressive workplace culture where Doing Right by People is our purpose.

With clients of all sizes and more than 600 employees, we currently have an exciting opportunity on our Implementation team for the right candidate.

DOING RIGHT BY PEOPLE – IT’S WHAT WE DO

As an Implementation Specialist, you will deliver a seamless and supportive onboarding experience for Payworks' clients. From the close of the sale to the handoff to their assigned Client Service Representative, you will manage the setup of Payworks' workforce management solution and provide comprehensive training. No matter the complexity of the account, you will ensure they have a smooth transition onto the Payworks platform by managing expectations with exceptional service and support. Leveraging your deep understanding of workforce management needs and strong project management skills, you will assess client requirements and drive efficient, effective implementations that set them up for long-term success.

WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE PAYWORKS
  • Comprehensive employer paid benefits, including a Health Spending Account, for you and your family and excellent pension plan with employer contributions.
  • Plenty of professional development opportunities.
  • Community-minded culture – Receive two paid days per year to volunteer and lots of opportunity to “Pay it Forward”.
  • Time and flexibility to meet your needs – Hybrid work model with flexible work options, plus 3 weeks vacation to start, flex time and parental leave benefits.
  • Cool perks – Annual Lifestyle Spending Account, fun office environment and events, and more!
PROVIDE AN EXCEPTIONAL CLIENT SERVICE – IT’S WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Build strong client relationships – Payworks takes pride in delivering superior client service to businesses across Canada. As an Implementation Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for client administrators, guiding them through the Payworks product with expert advice and payroll best practices in mind. Through active listening, effective questioning and clear communication, you will conduct a thorough needs analysis to identify client needs, uncover opportunities, and proactively address any challenges that arise. You will also facilitate comprehensive training for new clients, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to effectively use Payworks’ solutions.
  • Implement great products – You will facilitate the entire client implementation process, from data entry and training to equipment delivery, first go-live and continuing support. You will develop a deep understanding of all modules within the Payworks product suite including Payroll, Attendance Management, Time Management, Human Resources, Reporting, and Applicant Tracking to ensure each client’s setup reflects their specific needs. With a keen attention to detail, you will gather and apply client-specific product requirements, ensuring accurate database setup and maintaining the integrity of critical information.
  • Work with a team – You will be a dynamic team member who will work closely with many Payworks teams, leveraging internal resources to support business growth and company objectives. This includes partnering with the Sales team to manage the prospect-to-client transition and the Service team to ensure Client Service Representatives have the right training and support. Your ability to collaborate and problem-solve will contribute to a high-performing team environment.
  • Enhance your career – We are committed to providing opportunities for personal growth and development that encourage our people to excel and make a real difference throughout their career journey. We will provide a solid training experience to set you up for success, including the option to gain your Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation through Payworks’ close partnership with the National Payroll Institute (NPI)!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Proven administrative and/or customer service experience, ideally with a focus on needs analysis and delivering a positive client onboarding experience.
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Solid mathematical skills with the ability to work accurately with numerical data.
  • A commitment to quality, accuracy and delivering solutions that add value.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively leverage available tools and support systems.
  • Strong planning, organizational and time management skills to manage shifting priorities, handle multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Keen attention to detail, with experience working with large datasets while maintaining accuracy and a high standard of quality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to assess client needs effectively and confidently present solutions.

BONUS SKILL SET

  • Previous experience implementing workforce management solutions or similar software is preferred. Specific knowledge of the Payworks application and internal tools is a strong asset.
  • PCP Certification or related studies, or equivalent combination of education and experience, would be considered an asset.
  • Fluency in French will be an asset.
