THE OPPORTUNITY

Matchbox Consulting Group is partnering with a well-established Vancouver-based electrical contracting firm looking for an Electrical Foreman to lead a large multi-family wood-frame project in Vancouver.

Our client has been a trusted name in BC's new construction electrical space for over 40 years, specializing in mid- and low-rise multi-family residential. They are a smaller, owner-operated company that genuinely invests in their people through mentorship, apprenticeship pathways, and hands-on leadership development. The owner is directly involved in the business and in the growth of the team.

The project is an 86-unit multi-family wood-frame build in Vancouver. You will be reporting directly to the owner and working closely with the project manager to lead the crew from rough-in through to final turnover.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Lead a team of electricians and apprentices on site day to day.
  • Oversee all phases of electrical work including layout, rough-in, finishing, and final turnover.
  • Manage daily and weekly production goals and track progress using Procore.
  • Run daily touchpoints and weekly huddles with the crew.
  • Coordinate with project management and other trades to keep the project on schedule.
  • Track materials, tools, and manpower to stay within budget.
  • Mentor apprentices and support their development on site.
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized job site.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician with 5 or more years of electrical experience.
  • At least 2 years as a foreman or lead hand on multi-family residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, BC electrical code, and condo wiring systems.
  • Experience running multi-family projects from start to finish.
  • A self-starter with a type-A mentality who takes ownership and keeps things moving.
  • Procore experience is a strong asset but not a dealbreaker.
  • Junior candidates with the right attitude and trajectory will also be considered.

WHAT IS ON OFFER

  • Extended health benefits per CBA
  • Paid birthday off each year
  • Structured site setup with trailer office, stocked supplies, and a provided laptop
  • Procore access and training
  • Direct mentorship from the owner with real pathways into project coordination, management, or estimating
