Job Overview
The foreman is the person responsible for the construction site(s) under his responsibility. He is responsible for managing the priorities and results of the project, the training / development of the resources who work with him. He plays a pivotal role between the company and the other specialties on site.
The foreman is also responsible for implementing coherent, quality, productive and safe (OHS) work methods.
The foreman must deploy the necessary leadership to ensure the synergy and development of the projects and teams under his leadership.
He must demonstrate an interest in the work, remain optimistic, maintain a positive attitude at all times and demonstrate self-confidence. He must be an example to follow for his colleagues.
- In collaboration with the superintendent, plan the work of his team from the beginning to the end of the project.
- In collaboration with the superintendent, plan the interventions of the members of his team against the up-to-date deadlines.
- In collaboration with the superintendent, follow the schedule established for the different projects on a weekly basis and make changes to it if necessary (positioning of members, number of members, duration of interventions).
- Execute accurate and verified material orders for the project (day2day).
- In collaboration with the project manager and the superintendent, plan and execute batch releases.
- In collaboration with the project manager and the superintendent, ensure release dates versus monthly invoicing.
- In collaboration with the project manager and the superintendent, ensure the processing of deficiency reports.
- Participate in weekly site meetings and be able to communicate important points to the superintendent, members of his team and team leaders (Alarm, support and condos)
- Ensure a healthy, clean and structured environment, as well as sufficient space for members of his service team, as well as for members of other teams who will work on his project
- Welcome new electricians who will join his team in order to support these new resources
- Ensure the drafting and sending of timesheets on a weekly basis to FP&A (Financial Analyst)
