We are looking for a Manager, Market Access and Government Affairs – Quebec and Atlantic Canada for a 12 month contract to join our AbbVie Market Access & Government Affairs (MA & GA) team. This position reports directly to the Field Lead, Market Access & Government Affairs – Specialty and Neurology and is field-based covering the Specialty and Neurology therapeutic areas for both Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
Key responsibilities :
- Gain and maintain market access for all of AbbVie’s Specialty and Neurology products with public payers in Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
- Oversee the Quebec and Atlantic government payer and policy-maker interactions related to Specialty and Neurology : to develop and execute AbbVie’s health policy strategy and regional market access tactical plans.
- Support the MA & GA team’s development and implementation of the annual regional Quebec and Atlantic Canada MAGA plans. Track the execution and impact of regional government lobbying policy-making activities.
- Identify health policy barriers and ensure optimal policy conditions and reimbursement for current and future AbbVie Specialty and Neurology products.
- Play an active role with therapeutic area In-field Teams and identify opportunities to work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver on Specialty and Neurology brand objectives.
- Work closely with the Patient Engagement team, as needed, to encourage advocacy including any provincial “patient evidence” submissions for Abbvie products.
- Play an active role with provincial regional biopharmaceutical industry association committees (eg., Innovative Medicines Canada, BIOTECanada; Provincial Life Sciences Associations).
- Liaise with Market Access & HEOR team to support Quebec and Atlantic Canada initiatives in providing regional policy makers / drug plan managers with customized relevant clinical and health economic information.
- Work closely with the Lead, GA & Policy and the AbbVie Therapeutic Area GA Managers to execute Quebec and Atlantic Canada external affairs plans and ensure these needs are reflected in planning.
- Identify and shape multi-stakeholder projects and partnerships that are of interest to regional policy makers / public payers and that position AbbVie as a trusted and expert stakeholder and / or partner.
- Liaise with Market Access & HEOR team to support Quebec and Atlantic Canada in providing policy makers / drug plan managers with customized relevant clinical and health economic information.
- Work closely with the Lead, GA & Policy to execute Quebec and Atlantic Canada external affairs plans and ensure needs are reflected in planning.
- Responsible for developing the GA strategy and tactical plan in collaboration with the Lead GA and the Lead MA.
- Manage the Quebec and Atlantic Canada regional MAGA brands and corporate budgets.
- Influence the development of provincial legislation and policy, leveraging customized value propositions in Quebec and Atlantic Canada policymakers, where appropriate.
- Work closely with the Lead MA to support financial cycle and ensure the tactical plan is aligned with the Specialty / Neurology MA strategy.
