ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Manager, Public Relations and Government Affairs, CGF Investment Management (CGFIM) in our Montreal office, you will work with a team of highly motivated professionals who will pursue investments aimed at decarbonizing Canada, scaling Canadian clean tech champions, and achieving other objectives that are critical to the Canada Growth Fund mandate. This role reports to the GCF Investment Management team and is also fully integrated in the Communications and Global Government Affairs team at PSP for strategic direction, alignment and flawless execution. In your role, you will :

Work closely with CGFIM team to develop an external communication and government affairs plan, aligned and in close collaboration with the Communications and Global Government Affairs team;

Manage the Execution of CGFIM’s media relations and external communications functions

Draft and refine communications products tailored to key external audiences, including investors, media, and government representatives

Lead the preparation of the CGFIM leadership team in the communication of key messages regarding CGF’s strategy and investments

Track and analyze international, federal and provincial policies related to decarbonization and the energy transition

Lead the drafting of fact sheets, presentations, key messages, and other communications collateral related to the CGF Mandate aligned and in close collaboration with the Communications and Global Government Affairs team;

As required, manage logistics associated with potential parliamentary and senate committee appearances and / or hearings associated with studies, legislative and / or regulatory reviews

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Bachelor's degree in communications, public affairs, or a sustainability-related discipline (master's degree or MBA with a focus on sustainability an asset)

Knowledge of ESG / sustainable investment and seven (7) years to ten (10) years of relevant experience

Past experience in an external communications role at a public company considered an asset

Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders

Ability to write and edit comprehensive documents such as briefing notes, press releases, government engagement strategies, and Q&As

Proactive, hardworking, result oriented and a strong work ethic

Ability to work well in small team dynamics

Bilinguism English and French

  • Frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa
