As the Director of MyTELUS Digital Experiences, you'll lead the technical strategy and development of our My TELUS App and Web experiences, serving millions of customers monthly. In this high-impact leadership role, you'll define and execute the strategic vision for MyTELUS, leading a technical delivery team of specialists to build frictionless, intuitive, and personalized customer experiences. Your mandate is broad : from championing engineering excellence and platform scalability to embedding agility and continuous improvement across delivery practices.

You will be a key member of our Sales Experience Engineering leadership team, collaborating closely with peers across Product, Operations, Marketing, and the broader CIO organization to ensure our platforms not only meet today's needs, but are built for what's next.

You're someone who brings equal passion for technical innovation, operational excellence, and team development-creating a high-performing, values-driven environment where people do their best work. This role is for a bold leader who's excited to transform how Canadians engage with TELUS every day.

What you'll do

You'll lead technological innovation and oversee multiple engineering teams; Align technical initiatives with customer experience and business objectives; Collaborate with executives and cross-functional teams to achieve Engineering Excellence; Build high-performing teams and foster a culture of innovation; Balance strategic planning with agile delivery.

Engineering excellence and strategic leadership :

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technical vision for TELUS's digital platforms
  • Drive innovation by implementing emerging technologies and methodologies
  • Provide senior-level guidance on best practices and architectural standards
  • Oversee project portfolios and ensure timely, high-quality delivery
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in development processes
  • Collaborate with Product groups to support a digital roadmap
  • Partner with executives to align engineering efforts with business goals
  • Establish partnerships with various communities of practice

Lead a global organization :

  • Guide global software engineering delivery teams
  • Create a highly engaged team and culture that strives for excellence each day
  • Design strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and development
  • Support and inspire team members through mentorship and career development
  • Drive operational excellence :

  • Establish and monitor KPIs for system reliability and engineering productivity
  • Oversee incident management processes and ensure SLA adherence
  • Manage budget planning, forecasting, and expenditures
  • Develop strategic relationships with vendors and internal partners
  • Represent engineering in executive-level meetings and decision-making
  • What you bring

  • Proven track record in leading teams through digital transformation and enterprise-scale software delivery
  • Experience building and leading a high-performance engineering team and culture, distributed globally
  • Creative, strategic thinking and thoughtful decision-making skills
  • Engaging communication style with ability to connect across all levels of an organization
  • Proven experience with React Native development and native Android / iOS mobile applications
  • Experience with mobile CI / CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
  • Strong technical decision-making skills with a focus on scalability and performance
  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns and best practices
  • Deep understanding of mobile app performance optimization and debugging
  • 8+ years of experience leading digital product development and supporting team members, 5+ years of experience in mobile technical leadership roles

    Salary Range : $145,000-$217,000

    Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan : 30%

    Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits such as :
