$110,000 per year

What’s a typical day as Production Engineer? You’ll be:
- Leading and supervising a team of engineering specialists within the Production Engineering and Production Preparation departments
- Overseeing and managing large-scale engineering initiatives, including model launches and equipment planning
- Driving process optimization through cycle time analysis, line balancing, error proofing, and implementation of lean manufacturing tools
- Monitoring internal KPIs and initiating improvement opportunities
- Planning, installing, and commissioning new equipment, including supplier selection and project documentation
- Providing technical guidance and support to maintenance teams during major repairs or projects
- Ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental policies, including obtaining necessary permits and completing safety reviews
- Developing departmental procedures, business planning, and contributing to staff training and selection
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a 4-year Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Welding preferred)
- Bring a minimum of 5 years’ manufacturing engineering experience in an automotive or similar environment
- Possess supervisory experience in leading engineering teams
- Hold JHSC and First Aid training (or are willing to obtain)
- Are proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrate strong initiative
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and effective priority management
- Work well in a team-oriented environment and have strong interpersonal skills
- Are proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks; experience with automated welding and robotics is an asset
- Can work overtime as needed
