Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

$110,000 per year

Shift:

Ability to work overtime as needed

What’s a typical day as Production Engineer? You’ll be:

  • Leading and supervising a team of engineering specialists within the Production Engineering and Production Preparation departments
  • Overseeing and managing large-scale engineering initiatives, including model launches and equipment planning
  • Driving process optimization through cycle time analysis, line balancing, error proofing, and implementation of lean manufacturing tools
  • Monitoring internal KPIs and initiating improvement opportunities
  • Planning, installing, and commissioning new equipment, including supplier selection and project documentation
  • Providing technical guidance and support to maintenance teams during major repairs or projects
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental policies, including obtaining necessary permits and completing safety reviews
  • Developing departmental procedures, business planning, and contributing to staff training and selection

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a 4-year Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Welding preferred)
  • Bring a minimum of 5 years’ manufacturing engineering experience in an automotive or similar environment
  • Possess supervisory experience in leading engineering teams
  • Hold JHSC and First Aid training (or are willing to obtain)
  • Are proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrate strong initiative
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and effective priority management
  • Work well in a team-oriented environment and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Are proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks; experience with automated welding and robotics is an asset
  • Can work overtime as needed
