About this role
We are looking for an Analytics Architect to join the Finance team at our Burnaby head office. This role will help build and improve our analytics foundation as our Finance team expands its Data & Analytics capability. The Analytics Architect will design, build, and maintain reliable and scalable datasets that support self service reporting, decision-making, automation, and future AI initiatives.
In this role, you will work closely with the business and take ownership of key financial and operational metrics. You will build dependable data pipelines and curated datasets/scalable analytics data products that serve as a single, trusted source of data across the organization. You will play a key role in moving our existing SQL Server data mart to the cloud, bringing in new data sources, and making sure analysts and business users have access to high quality, well structured data to support decision-making.

Your responsibilities
- Partner with AI Solutions, FP&A, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, business-ready data products
- Build and maintain data pipelines that integrate information from multiple business systems
- Integrate data from different business systems into clean and trusted analytics-ready datasets
- Create and maintain curated datasets that serve as the trusted source for company wide KPIs
- Implement automated data quality checks and resolve data issues to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Use modern engineering practices-including CI/CD, automation, testing, and version control-to build and deliver reliable analytics solutions
- Support self-service reporting and semantic models in Power BI
- Partner with IT and security teams to ensure appropriate access controls in place and aligned with enterprise standards
Your experience and skills
- Post secondary degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in analytics, BI, or data engineering, with ownership of metrics and data models
- Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in SQL Server
- Experience building data pipelines and integrating data from multiple systems
- Experience designing and maintaining analytics or semantic models (e.g., Power BI)
- Experience with cloud data platforms and tools (Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and/or Databricks)
- Experience with CI/CD, source control, and deployment practices (e.g., Azure DevOps)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders
