Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and technical Data Analyst to join our Data team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and data reporting. The Data Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining SSENSE’s data infrastructure (including our Enterprise Data Lake), and enabling data-driven initiatives across the organization. They will also partner closely with Product and other business functions to build analytical frameworks and data pipelines, analyze customer data, and develop insights and recommendations to deliver a world-class luxury customer experience.
This role requires strong attention to detail, impeccable organization and time-management, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
What You Will Do:
Develop and Maintain the Foundational Data Environment
Identify areas of improvement in our foundational data environment, including the Enterprise Data Lake and Data Mesh.
Evaluate and improve data quality, ensuring the highest standards of completeness and accuracy.
Advanced Analysis, Reporting & Insights
Collaborate with business stakeholders and Product teams to capture reporting requirements and implement a dashboard strategy that enables self-serve capabilities.
Develop metrics and analytical frameworks that uplift the team’s analytical capabilities and deepen understanding SSENSE customers’ shopping behaviour.
Data Pipeline Engineering & Support
Leverage internal pipeline and lineage tools to ensure the proper ingestion and transformation of source data to curated tables and reports.
Develop, maintain and champion the adoption of strong data governance standards.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; Master’s degree an asset.
A minimum of 3 years experience in analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or a similar role.
Proficiency in querying and analyzing large data sets using SQL
Proficiency in developing dashboards, custom reports and analysis using QuickSight or other data visualization tools.
Proficiency in Python (for advanced data manipulation and data analysis) an asset.
Bilingualism (French & English) is required to communicate with our internal and external stakeholders.
