Program Specialty Staff

Location: Camp Lionheart, Bracebridge, ON

Reports to: Specialties Director

Duration: July 26 to August 25

About Lionheart

Camp Lionheart is an overnight camp in Muskoka, Canada that supports children with disabilities and complex medical needs.

Position Overview

Program Specialty Staff bring energy, creativity, and expertise to our overnight camp

programming. This role is perfect for individuals who love leading activities and sharing

their talents with campers in a dynamic camp setting.

Specialty Areas May Include:

  • Arts & crafts
  • Dance, gymnastics, or yoga
  • Sports (tennis, basketball, soccer, martial arts, archery)
  • High Ropes and Rock Climbing
  • Lifeguarding, canoeing & kayaking, sailing, boat driving
  • Creative or unique program ideas

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead specialty activities and programs
  • Adapt activities to support a range of abilities
  • Create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment
  • Collaborate with counselors and leadership staff

Qualifications

  • Experience or strong interest in one or more specialty areas
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Energetic, flexible, creative, team-oriented
  • Ability to participate in training, as required
  • Comfortable working in a camp environment
  • For Lifeguarding roles only: current National Lifeguard (NL) and Standard First Aid with CPR-C (SFA) required
