We are actively interviewing Crane Service Technicians for our client who is in need of a candidate for projects in and around the Greater Vancouver area. Someone with a strong Electrician or Millwright background is ideal, and some experience working on crane or lifting systems is required. Our client is a reputable leading manufacturer and service provider of industrial lifting equipment, including overhead cranes, hoists, and related technologies. As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our client's state-of-the-art industrial lifting equipment. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our clients' machinery.
Key Responsibilities – Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repair of industrial cranes, hoists, and related equipment
– Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment, and implement effective solutions
– Maintain detailed records of all service and repair activities
– Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and improvements
– Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment
Qualifications – A Journeyman or Red Seal Electrician or Millwright Certificate is preferred – Minimum 3 years of experience as a Service Technician or Maintenance Mechanic – Experience working on crane systems or lift equipment is ideal. – Experience working on industrial equipment or in a manufacturing industry is an asset
– Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics
– Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed
Working Conditions This is a full-time, permanent position based in Kamloops or Vancouver, BC. The work environment involves both indoor and outdoor settings, and may require some physical labor, such as lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment. A flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, may be required to accommodate client needs.
Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $45-53/hour with possible wiggle room, for the right candidate, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and professional development opportunities.
