Job description
Are you a skilled Shipper / Forklift Operator looking for a stable, high-impact role in the manufacturing & logistics sector? Randstad is seeking a dedicated professional for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Aldergrove. Reporting to the Production Supervisor in the Steel Stud department, you will manage critical material handling tasks with a focus on flatbed truck loading. This role offers a competitive rate of $23.00 – $24.00 per hour for a self-starter who takes initiative and maintains a "team-first" attitude.

What you need to know:
Contract to hire!
Location: Aldergrove
Schedule: Monday-Friday + Occasional Saturday when needed
Shift Time: 7:00AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Pay rate: $23 to $24 per hour
Forklift ticket required - sit down counterbalance

Responsibilities
• Map and plan daily loads to maximize efficiency within the manufacturing & logistics department.
• Expertly load and unload heavy materials onto flatbed trucks using a sit-down counterbalance forklift.
• Supply essential steel coils to production lines to ensure continuous operations.
• Receive, mark, and track inventory while performing rigorous quality control checks.
• Secure loads using banding machines and strapping to prevent shifting during transport.
• Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and maintain a clean, organized yard.
• Manage all necessary shipping paperwork and accurate material counts.

Qualifications
• Valid Forklift Certification (Sit-down counterbalance) and Crane Certification.
• Proven experience in a Shipper / Forklift Operator role with flatbed loading.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in an industrial yard environment with changing priorities.
• Strong spatial reasoning and basic mathematical proficiency.
• High level of attention to safety protocols and hazard identification.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for coordinating with production teams and drivers.
