We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer in Test to join our client's engineering team, where you will be working on an academic on‑premises product. The primary responsibility of this role is to advance testing automation to the next level. You will be engaged throughout all phases of the software development life cycle and use your drive for technology and quality to help us accelerate product development cycle with the quality releases. You have 7 years or more of experience as a Software Engineer in Test or in a similar role and have a strong background in test automation or software development. You will also apply black box, grey box and white box testing techniques in the daily QA tasks.
This is a contractual hybrid role for a period of 6 months, with the potential for extension. The candidate must work from the office 1 day / week.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive the planning and execution of test automation strategies by defining system specifications and levels of testing required to meet requirements.
- Use AI technologies and tools (where appropriate) to improve test coverage, self‑healing test automation, intelligent defect analysis, and efficiency in the QA process.
- Design, develop and maintain test automation frameworks that deliver frequent execution of test cases and minimize maintenance of test scripts.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI / CD pipeline, adhering to best practices to identify issues early and accelerate the release cycle.
- Provide technical direction in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities in processes, standards, and procedures to maximize the strengths of test automation.
- Develop automated tests and test new software functionality while balancing the testing pyramid.
- Perform end‑to‑end automated testing of software products, including functional, integration, security, and performance at both the service and UI levels.
- Mentor junior test engineers in best practices and explain technical concepts in written and verbal forms.
- Work with the team to analyze the test coverage required to evaluate the quality of software.
- Diagnose root causes of software defects and recommend required actions and added validation needs.
