Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description

This role involves performing manual and semi-automated mechanical assembly of valves in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will start with hands-on assembly tasks and may progress into fully automatic and robotic (semi-automatic) assembly areas, ensuring products meet quality standards while supporting smooth production flow.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual assembly of valves, including inserting sleeves and other small components with precision.
  • Hand-screw bolts and fasteners onto assembled parts, ensuring secure and accurate fit.
  • Carry out repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining consistent speed, accuracy, and quality.
  • Load valves and components into semi-automated and robotic (semi-auto) cells for further assembly.
  • Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor machines during operation to ensure they run smoothly and report any issues promptly.
  • Conduct quality checks on assembled valves using appropriate tools and methods.
  • Package assembled valves off the production line according to established procedures.
  • Perform general labor duties in the production area as required to support overall operations.
  • Handle and move materials and components, including lifting items up to 50 lbs as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 1.5 years of experience as an assembler or in a similar mechanical assembly role.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in small mechanical assembly.
  • Strong manual dexterity for working with small components and detailed assembly tasks.
  • Quality-focused mindset with experience performing basic quality checks.
  • Ability to use calipers for measurement and verification of parts.
  • Experience performing multiple different tasks within a production environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as part of daily duties.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Comfort working with semi-automated and robotic assembly equipment.
  • Ability to adapt to different stations and tasks within the assembly process.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized work instructions.

You should be comfortable standing for extended periods, performing manual tasks, and lifting up to 50 lbs as part of your daily work.
