Architectural PM - Regional Manager - Practice Lead

Architecture & Design Firm - HYBRID

About role and the client

An expanding Revit-based architectural firm with multiple offices seeks an accomplished architectural professional - Regional Lead - to run a small office in either the Timmins, North Bay or Temiskaming Shores area. You must live within 160 kilometers of one of these locations and have 10+ years of OBC and building science design experience with well-established architectural firms. With the support of their other offices, you will be involved in a wide variety of small to moderately sized projects; $5M-120M in valuation; including community centers, schools, labs & R&D centers, nursing and LTC homes, and rehab centers. Their culture is laid back : blue jeans; meritocratic; where collaboration and synergy among teams and offices is encouraged. They seek someone passionate about community-based projects. The firm believes in solid initial planning with other senior leaders; that work-life balance and avoiding burn-out enhances creative designs.

What they are looking for

  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture credentials; experienced leader of structured teams; 5-10 years as a Project Architect on sophisticated projects; or a Senior Revit Techologist with PM and Job Captain experience
  • A Revit portfolio demonstrating design excellence and mark-ups of others works
  • A fair-minded leader that respects diversity, doesn't take themselves too seriously, and works well with others
  • Strong Revit skills and OBC knowledge; experience across SD, DD, WD phases & construction administration (CA) duties
  • Superior communication skills; ability to deal with multiple competing stakeholders and to pitch clients; BD skills a big plus
  • Someone committed to their ongoing professional development; long term vision with a desire to potentially work towards equity stakes in the firm
  • Strong Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and project management software
