Job description

We are EnerMech, a specialist service company that delivers safe, integrated solutions for complex energy projects. For over 50 years, we have supported our clients across the world with unrivalled expertise, equipment, and technology throughout the entire asset lifecycle – both offshore and onshore.

Operating through our global business lines of Energy Solutions, Infrastructure & Industrial Solutions, and Lifting Solutions, we provide a broad range of specialist services including cranes, lifting, fluid power, training, equipment rental, pipeline, process, subsea, and valve services.

At EnerMech, we are driven by operational excellence, innovation, and technical expertise, delivering value through integrated solutions that reduce risk, improve efficiency, and enhance performance for our customers worldwide.

The Opportunity

EnerMech is looking for a motivated and commercially focused Business Development Manager to drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, and expanding our presence across key markets.

Working closely with operational and technical teams, you will promote EnerMech's full range of specialist services, develop sales opportunities, and support customers with integrated solutions that add value throughout the asset lifecycle. This role is ideal for a proactive business developer who enjoys building relationships, identifying customer needs and converting opportunities into long-term business partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across existing and emerging markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline from prospecting through to contract award.
  • Promote EnerMech's full portfolio of specialist services across multiple business lines.
  • Prepare customer engagement plans and identify opportunities for cross-selling and account expansion.
  • Support the preparation of commercial proposals, tenders and customer presentations.
  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering and Commercial teams to develop tailored customer solutions.
  • Maintain regular customer engagement through meetings, site visits and industry events.
  • Monitor market activity, competitor developments and customer trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting and timely reporting through CRM and business reporting systems.
  • Negotiate commercial terms in line with company policies and delegated authority.
  • Deliver against agreed sales, revenue and profitability targets.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and results-driven business development professional with experience selling technical services within the energy, industrial, engineering or infrastructure sectors.

You will have a strong customer focus, excellent relationship management skills and the ability to identify opportunities that create long-term value for both customers and the business.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales or account management.
  • Strong understanding of technical or engineering service environments.
  • Experience developing customer relationships and managing sales opportunities.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of contracts, pricing and profitability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple business functions.
  • Good analytical, organisational and planning skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.

Why Join EnerMech?

At EnerMech, you'll become part of a global team that delivers specialist solutions to some of the world's most complex energy and industrial projects. We invest in our people, encourage innovation and provide opportunities to develop your career within a collaborative and high-performing environment.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our continued growth while working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

Diversity & Inclusion

EnerMech is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.
