Job Description
Sinai Health is seeking an experienced Receptionist to support the Cardiac Diagnostics department at Mount Sinai Campus.
In this role, you will :
- Greet and assist patients visiting the Ambulatory Laboratory professionally.
- Obtain and verify patient information, entering laboratory tests accurately in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Validate presented health cards and ensure they match the test requisition.
- Enter patient details into the Electronic Medical Record system for new patients.
- Input test requests into the LIS.
- Prepare and print bills for uninsured or self-pay patients prior to testing.
- Respond to telephone and in-person inquiries.
- Contact physician offices to clarify missing information or schedule tests.
- Copy or print test requisitions as needed.
- Maintain patient information confidentiality and security.
- Assist in training new staff and students.
- Perform duties assigned by management, including covering for absences and workload adjustments.
- Provide feedback to improve patient flow and test ordering processes.
- Perform filing and other duties as assigned.
