Position Title : Admissions Coordinator
Status : FT Support
Hours : 37.5 hours per week
Program / Department : Admissions Services
Campus / Location : The University of Guelph-Humber (207 Humber College Blvd, Toronto) is located within the traditional and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit.
Salary : FT Support Payband I : $39.34 - $45.59
About the Admissions Coordinator Role :
Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Admissions and International, the Admissions Coordinator aids in the achievement of the institutions enrolment targets. The Admissions Coordinator will individually adjudicate applicant files and award potential entrance scholarships and transfer credit for undergraduate, readmission, program transfer and letter of permission applicants.
The Admissions Coordinator is the subject matter expert on all program admissions for direct and non-direct applicants and addresses complex, sensitive or non-routine issues.
The Admissions Coordinator provides information and communicates with prospective students, applicants, guidance counsellors, parents, faculty, and University administrators regarding a broad range of admissions and transfer credit related / topics. In addition, provides leadership to plan and coordinate a series of admissions events (on-campus, off-campus and webinars) to support enrolment targets. Events include, but are not limited to : college fairs, college classroom pathway visits, online webinars and liaising with professional associations / working groups
Qualifications
What you bring to the role :
Education
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a four (4) year degree with a focus in business, public administration or communications or equivalent.
Experience / Skills
The successful candidate will have :
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience working in a post secondary environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of educations systems and credential assessment
- Demonstrated experience admission advising and assessment
- Proficiency with Colleague, or similar student information system, and it’s associated systems (e.g. OUAC portal), Slate.
