POSITION OVERVIEW: Startec Compression & Process is currently recruiting an Assembly Pipefitter to work at our Shepard Shop (9423 Shepard Rd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 4R6). The Apprentice Pipefitter plays a vital role in mounting majors and assembling small-bore and large-bore piping systems according to drawings on various skidded packages.
Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, work is completed by reading and interpreting P&IDs, GA’s and Piping Specifications.
Additionally, they may mentor apprentices for skill development. Shift Schedule - 5:50-4:20 (4 days/week,10 hours/day).
Overtime is as required. QUALIFICATIONS : Registered apprentice.
Installation and support of spooling.
Skid layout for small bore piping.
Fitting of the socket and screwed small bore pipe.
Read, interpret and red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID's, G.A.’s) Tack welding experience is an asset SAFETY Maintain a safe work environment Participate in safety and company programs Team player with positive engagement Participate in project reviews with engineering & drafting We offer competitive wages, training, flexible, dynamic, and exciting work environment.
