Job description

We are currently looking for a few full-time Production Technician – Assembler to join our clients team in Surrey, BC. The Production Technician will be responsible for final stage finishing, accessory additions, and repairs on new and used vans and light duty buses. To be successful in this role, the individual should possess strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Location: Surrey, BC

Type: Full time, Contract position (could turn into a permanent position)

Wage: $25.00-$26.00/hour (qualifications & skills based)

Plans: Medical, Dental and Pension Plan

Work hours: Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 4:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
  • Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process.
  • Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components.
  • Fitting and installation of automotive interior such as plywood floors, floor coverings, seats, harnesses, and other equipment
  • Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts
  • Check output to ensure highest quality.
  • Maintain equipment in good condition.
  • Performing final stage finishing and accessory additions on vehicles.
  • Complete other duties as directed by production coordinator.

Education, Experience, and Requirements:

  • Must be tool literate.
  • Experience as an assembler
  • Must have strong verbal (8/10) and written English (8/10) communication skills.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders.
  • Good practical skills for using a range of tools.
  • Ability to work methodically and pay close attention to detail.
  • Automotive Electrical 12V systems and Air conditioning experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
