Ajax Nissan a proud member of Drive Autogroup is seeking an apprentice technician to join their team The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude along with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

A desire to perform quality repairs, a strong sense of personal pride in workmanship, and an understanding that customer satisfaction is our main concern, are all important aspects of the job.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical / maintenance repairs on customer-owned vehicles as assigned and designated on the repair order, which answer the concerns of the customer and Nissan Canada’s maintenance schedule.
  • Perform repairs on company owned vehicles - new, used and service vehicles, as assigned and designated on the work order.
  • Perform work on vehicles under warranty, as assigned, and comply with warranty policies.
  • Road test vehicles after repairs are completed, to insure that the repairs have been properly done, and that the repair answers the concerns as stated on the work order.
  • Discuss any problems related to the repair with service management.
  • Inform the Service Manager or Service Advisor of any additional repairs needed or advised.
  • Attend any and all training courses as requested by service management.
  • Attend any and all department or dealership meetings as requested.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area, shop and equipment.
  • Obey any and all safety rules, and work accordingly.
  • Sign out any essential tools when required, return them to their proper place when finished, and keep the storage area neat and tidy.
  • Refer all customer enquiries to a Service Consultant. All customer contacts must be courteous and helpful.

Qualifications:

  • This job requires you to have a valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
  • The ideal applicant will have a high level of enthusiasm and activity related to service work and a willingness to share these with others.
  • The ability to diagnose service problems and to plan repairs before proceeding in a manner which minimizes guesswork.
