Job Title: Millwright Apprentice/Handyman

Job Description

Join our team in Whitby as a Millwright Apprentice/Handyman, where you will take on crucial maintenance and repair tasks in an industrial meat processing facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of industrial processing equipment.
• Conduct general facility maintenance.
• Install equipment, lines, and systems.
• Execute preventative and scheduled maintenance.
• Manage shutdowns and breakdowns.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Participate in facility upgrades and modifications.
• Provide maintenance shift coverage.

Essential Skills

• 4th-5th year level apprentice experience in maintenance.
• Experience with performing maintenance on processing equipment, including working with bearings, belts, and conveyors.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Must have WAH, LOTO, WHMIS & 4 STEPS certifications.

Schedule

6 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Whitby, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr.
