Job Summary
We are recruiting for a Payroll Analyst for a direct hire opportunity in Milton, ON, with an established automotive and parts manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented Canadian payroll professional who enjoys working in a complex, multi-jurisdictional payroll setting and wants to contribute to accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations.
The Payroll Analyst will play a key role in bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing, year-end activities, payroll compliance, reporting, reconciliations, and system support. Key Responsibilities
- Process regular bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll, as well as off-cycle payrolls including bonuses, retroactive pay, adjustments, and corrections.
- Validate payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, leaves, benefit deductions, garnishments, taxable benefits, and other payroll changes.
- Conduct payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance checks to ensure payroll accuracy and alignment with Canadian payroll legislation.
- Lead and support year-end payroll activities, including T4, RL-1, T4A, WCB, Quebec CSST, EHT, QMD, MHT, pension adjustments, and taxable benefit adjustments.
- Prepare payroll-related reports for Finance, Total Rewards, internal audits, external audits, and government inquiries.
- Maintain payroll systems and employee payroll records while supporting payroll system testing, upgrades, enhancements, and process improvements.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications.
- Direct hire opportunity.
