Job descriptionHello! My name is Sarah, and we are a Catholic homeschooling family located in DeWinton, Alberta. We are seeking a warm, dependable, and energetic live-out nanny/family assistant to join our family beginning in September, approximately 4 days per week. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys children, is organized, and would be happy to assist with both childcare and household support. I am a stay-at-home homeschooling mother, so I am often home and involved in the day-to-day activities, but I am looking for a helper who can take initiative and become a valued part of our family routine. Primary responsibilities include: * Meal planning, cooking, and kitchen management (this is the primary focus of the position, including preparing most family meals for the week) (Note: Cooking would not be required at the same time as child care) * Caring for our two preschool-aged children (ages 2 and 4) * Engaging our 4-year-old in kindergarten readiness activities, crafts, reading, and educational play * Supervising and caring for four well- behaved children (ages 2, 4, 7, 9) when I am out of the home, typically several afternoons per week * Light housekeeping related to the children and family routines Our family has six children ranging from preschool age to high school age. The older children are generally independent, and the primary focus of the position will be meal preparation, helping with the younger children, and supporting our daily homeschool rhythm.
