This is a contract position for a Database Administrator - Intermediate for our public sector client.

7.25 hours / day
This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 3 days of the week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)

Oracle DB data integration and evaluation
Experience with middleware and gateways
Awareness of emerging IT trends and direction
Experience with infrastructure services within the Ontario government (e.g. Internal Infrastructure Hosting policies and Provisioning practices)
Knowledge of the GSIC support organization and ITSM processes adopted in OPS including
Qualifications
Required Skillsets :
More than 10 yrs Oracle DBA experience
Approved experience of Oracle 12c & 19c using multi-tenant architecture
Oracle 19c RAC Grid infrastructure / ASM
RMAN backup and Restore
Data Encryption using ASO / TDE
Oracle Dataguard Physical / Logical Configuration & Administration
Oracle Enterprise Manager configuration & Management for alerting & reporting
UNIX shell scripting
SQL optimization, tuning and performance experience
MS SQL Server installation, Configuration, and database management
General Skills :
Experience in database administration at the specified experience level
Experience of managing Oracle 19c ETL / Data warehouse Experience with UNIX operating system Experience with Oracle database technologies
Experience in one or more programming language
Experience in the use of information retrieval packages and proficiency with query language Experience with one or more communications protocol
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; and interpersonal skill
A team player with a track record for meeting deadline
Experience in monitoring and enforcing database rule
Experience in Incident, Change and Configuration Management procedures
