We're searching for a passionate Talent Acquisition Manager to be our go-to recruitment lead for all hiring across our rapidly expanding business.

As the talent manager, you'll lead the charge on full-cycle recruitment - not just for our present needs but as a key architect for our future workforce.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Forge Strategic Internal Partnerships : Develop strong relationships with hiring managers and department leaders to understand business requirements across the organization.

Departments include Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, HR, Fulfillment Centre, Planning, and Technology.

Full-Cycle Recruitment Leadership : Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts across the organization, partnering with hiring managers and executive leadership to understand requirements and develop job descriptions accordingly.

Ensure compliance with legal and brand standards throughout the process.

Strategic Sourcing : Utilize various platforms including LinkedIn, ATS, job boards, and social media to source high-quality candidates, ensuring a diverse talent pool that aligns with the company's values and culture.

Maintain active communication with active and passive candidates to curate a qualified talent pipeline for current and future opportunities.

Candidate Assessment & Experience : Lead the candidate assessment process, ensuring a seamless and elevated experience for all applicants.

Conduct thorough resume / application screenings and competency-based interviews, evaluating candidates against organizational values.

  • Offer Management & Negotiation : Conduct internal equity and market trend analyses to inform offer recommendations and negotiations with candidates, ensuring competitive and fair compensation and successful offer deliveries.
  • Agencies & Community Relationships : Maintain and develop relationships with staffing agencies and educational institutions to stay informed about industry talent trends.

Build and nurture a network of industry contacts to further brand awareness and referrals.

Compliance & Documentation : Manage the applicant tracking system for recruitment and candidate management, maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Ensure compliance with pay equity, human rights, and employment standards guidelines and laws.

  • Employer Branding : Define and execute employment branding initiatives to enhance organizational attractiveness. Collaborate with the Human Resources team to develop the company's online reputation and attract top talent.
  • Performance Analysis & Special Projects : Review recruitment metrics to identify success factors, costs, and opportunities for improvement.

Undertake ad hoc special projects as assigned to support the overall talent acquisition strategy.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation : Research and propose continuous improvements to recruitment processes and practices.

Collaborate with business leaders to accelerate hiring processes and enhance the candidate experience.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Ambassador : Advocate for DEI principles throughout the recruitment process, leveraging industry best practices.

Experience, Education & Designations

3-5+ years of proven success in a technical talent acquisition role, including sourcing and full life cycle recruitment - fashion / retail environment is a plus.

  • Experience in a leadership Talent Acquisition role, with a proven track record of building, managing, and optimizing recruitment processes in a corporate environment.
  • Experience leveraging various tools to perform duties including LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS, passive talent pipelines, and other job boards.
  • Experience as an advisor to hiring managers on recruitment strategy and best practices, contributing to the development of effectiveness of hiring processes.
  • Applied expertise in assessing candidate alignment with open positions and organizational values, ensuring cultural fit and long-term success within the company.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

A reputation for being exceptional at high-quality candidate generation and building relationships.

  • Working knowledge of Lever or similar ATS, facilitating efficient tracking and management of candidate pipelines.
  • Ability to thrive in an innovative environment, demonstrating a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and embracing change as an opportunity for growth.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capability to engage internally and externally at all levels.
  • Highly organized with strong time and task management skills, ensuring efficient execution of recruitment processes and priorities.
  • Knowledge of ethical practices and guidelines of federal and provincial legislation as it relates to recruitment (e.g., Human Rights, Labor Codes, Privacy), ensuring compliance and integrity in all recruitment activities.
  • Ability to develop and implement talent acquisition strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • In tune with talent market trends with an "always-be-learning" mentality.
