ROLE : Warehouse Supervisor

REPORTS TO : Production Manager

LOCATION : Annacis Plant

SHIFT : Late mornings into early evening, approximately 11am – 8 : 30pm, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing team. Reporting to the Production Manager and working with Supply and Strategic Sourcing, you will oversee a team of hourly employees per shift in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment. You will be responsible for meeting operational targets, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance, and driving accountability and performance within the team. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills to support the company's continued growth and efficiency.

  • Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in warehouse supervision, logistics, or cold supply chain management.

  • Strong knowledge of FEFO (First-expire, First-Out) inventory management and CFIA regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and WMS systems, with the ability to support beyond-the-door supply chain operations.
  • Proficient in cycle counting, month-end inventory reconciliation, and year-end auditing to ensure inventory accuracy and financial reporting integrity.
  • Experience in temperature-controlled warehousing and perishable goods handling to maintain product integrity and compliance.

  • Proven ability to optimize warehouse processes, improve space utilization, and reduce waste through continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Manage shipping and receiving operations, ensuring on-time fulfillment and accurate documentation.
  • Coordinate with Shipping Clerks to identify and address operational gaps, troubleshoot issues, and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Communicate with the Supply Chain team, collaborating with the Production Supervisor and / or Director of Manufacturing.
  • Monitor and improve warehouse efficiency, identifying areas for process improvement, waste reduction, and enhanced productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including OH&S, CFIA, and GMP best practices.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, driving lean warehousing principles and operational excellence.
  • Detailed Description Of Duties

  • Hands-on leadership role, working closely with direct reports to oversee, support, and optimize daily warehouse operations.
  • Manage and develop hourly employees, including scheduling, task assignments, performance management, coaching, and professional development.
  • Escalate daily shorts to supply chain team that will ensure clear communication between warehouse and customers on their orders.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a team-first culture and ensuring engagement, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to align warehouse operations with customer requirements, production schedules, and financial targets.
  • Ensure financial accountability, tracking and reviewing departmental budgets, cost control measures, and resource optimization.
  • Proactively manage warehouse training compliance by ensuring all employees are trained on warehouse SOPs, forklift operation, and that all forklift certifications are current and documented.
  • Optimize warehouse, and cooler storage, ensuring efficient space utilization and FEFO (First-Expire, First-Out) compliance.
