In this strategic consulting role, you will act as a primary bridge between business operations and technology teams, shaping enterprise initiatives from early pre-discovery through full delivery. Working across ambiguous and fast-evolving environments, you will collaborate with senior business sponsors to uncover root operational challenges, clarify strategic objectives, and guide solution architectures. You will lead Lean UX discovery sessions, build business cases, evaluate technology feasibility, and leverage AI tools for accelerated analysis and documentation. Your focus will be translating complex business needs into actionable epics, user stories, and change-management plans that enhance productivity, lower costs, and accelerate client-focused digital innovation.

Contract Duration: Approx. 1 Year (Target Dates: November 23, 2026 – November 19, 2027; strong possibility of extension)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid or Remote (Open to candidates located anywhere in Ontario; flexible model based on location)

Advantages
Strategic Pre-Discovery Scope: Shape initiatives from the ground up, moving beyond standard requirement gathering into business case development, solution ideation, and problem framing.

Full-Year Contract Stability: Secure a 12-month foundational enterprise contract with confirmed potential for multi-year project extensions.

Flexible Ontario Work Model: Enjoy high workplace flexibility with hybrid or remote options available for professionals based anywhere in Ontario.

Executive Visibility: Present strategic recommendations, feasibility trade-offs, and investment cases directly to AVP-level and senior executive leaders.

Modern Innovation & AI Focus: Actively leverage modern digital tools, collaborative frameworks, and AI-enabled methodologies to streamline exploration and documentation.

Responsibilities
Pre-Discovery & Problem Framing: Partner with business sponsors to uncover root problems, define capability needs, articulate strategic roadmaps, and frame business cases under conditions of high ambiguity.

Lean UX & Discovery Facilitation: Plan and facilitate Lean UX workshops, design thinking sessions, and current-to-future state process mapping; align stakeholders around scope, requirements, and execution plans.

Requirements & Artifact Engineering: Elicit, author, and maintain detailed business requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, data flow diagrams, and functional design documents.

Feasibility & Trade-Off Analysis: Lead cross-team solution discussions with technical architects and development groups; coordinate technical intake, gather cost/timeline estimates, and compare trade-offs across options.

Executive Advisory & Stakeholder Leadership: Manage relationships with cross-functional business and technology partners, including AVP-level executives; deliver structured presentations that drive decisive approvals.

Change Impact & Delivery Support: Conduct end-to-end change impact assessments across processes, systems, and clients; manage RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies); and support business teams during rollout and post-implementation validation.

Qualifications
Consulting & Analysis Depth: 7+ years of progressive professional experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Consultant, or Management Consultant leading complex enterprise initiatives.

Discovery & Lean UX Mastery: Proven track record leading discovery workshops, Lean UX sessions, problem framing, and scope definition from initial concept through execution.

Legacy-to-Modern Transformations: Practical experience evaluating business and technology platforms, navigating legacy-to-modern system migrations, and assessing client-facing digital products.

Financial & Feasibility Modeling: Strong competency in business case development, cost-benefit analysis, data modeling, and evaluating technical solution feasibility.

Governance & Controls Awareness: Solid understanding of enterprise data privacy, regulatory compliance, internal controls, security standards, and end-to-end test execution validation.

AI & Modern Methodologies: Demonstrated proficiency in using generative AI tools to accelerate research, document creation, data analysis, and process exploration.

Executive Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with extensive experience presenting recommendations and complex concepts to executive leaders.

Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Experience working within the financial services, banking, or insurance sectors.

Exposure to customer-facing operational processes, modern web platforms, or digital data engineering initiatives.

Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Lean Six Sigma.

English/French bilingualism is considered an asset.

Summary
If you are a tech-savvy Business Analyst - Non IT IV / Business & Systems Consultant who pairs 7+ years of enterprise experience with advanced pre-discovery problem framing, Lean UX workshop leadership, executive stakeholder advisory, and AI-driven analysis capabilities, this 1-year contract opportunity in Ontario is an ideal next step.
