Horizon Health Network in beautiful New Brunswick is looking for a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist to join our team!

Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a dedicated, dependable, passionate, and qualified Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a collaborative environment as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide safe and quality patient care.

Who you are

You possess a Medical Degree from a recognized medical school and postgraduate studies (residency) in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology with a focus in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

You must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology requires that members practicing Maternal Fetal Medicine be a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with subspecialty certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology from an accredited program to be eligible for active membership. Candidates with Royal College eligibility may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level. Bilingual skills would be considered an asset.

What you will do

Reporting to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department Head and the Medical Director for the area, the Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist collaborates with other Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered, Nurses, and other Allied Medical Staff.

A typical weekly schedule will include:

  • Maternal fetal medicine services
  • On-call (if applicable)
  • Teaching residents and medical students
