RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Collaboration with the Application Team :

  • Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in infrastructure management, network design, and cost optimization.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a robust, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructure architecture, including network topology.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices and security standards for infrastructure and networking.

Infrastructure Team Program Management :

  • Develop and execute comprehensive infrastructure roadmaps and project plans, incorporating network upgrades, optimizations, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Manage infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, operations, security, networking, finance) to align infrastructure initiatives with business objectives and cost targets.
  • Track and report on infrastructure performance metrics (availability, latency, capacity), network health, and infrastructure costs.

High Availability & Disaster Recovery :

  • Design and implement disaster recovery plans that meet stringent RTO and RPO requirements while minimizing cost impact.
  • Regularly test and validate disaster recovery procedures, including failover and network routing.
  • Conduct capacity planning and performance optimization to ensure high availability and cost-effective resource utilization.

Security :

  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the infrastructure, network, and user data.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of infrastructure and network components.
  • Stay informed about emerging security threats and develop mitigation strategies for both infrastructure and network vulnerabilities, balancing security with cost considerations.
  • Review and plan Kernel Patching, package Patching and database Patching.

Network Design & Optimization

  • Design and implement scalable, efficient, and cost-effective network architectures to support the demands of a dynamic microservices environment.
  • Optimize network performance for low latency and high throughput while minimizing bandwidth and resource costs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
  • Monitor network traffic and capacity planning to identify bottlenecks, plan for future growth, and optimize costs.

Cost Optimization :

  • Continuously analyze infrastructure and network costs to identify opportunities for savings.
  • Implement cost-saving measures such as rightsizing resources, leveraging spot instances, and utilizing reserved instances.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in managing complex infrastructure environments, including network design and management.
  • Strong technical background in microservices architectures, NoSQL databases, cloud technologies, network protocols, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Proven track record in program / project management and delivering cost savings.
  • Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and security best practices for both infrastructure and networks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
