Reporting to the Head, Finance PMO, this role would have bank-wide impact through managing the Finance Rotation Program, management of the PMO quarterly QA / Attestation Process and the partnering with key Finance stakeholders o critical transformation initiatives.

Develops detailed financial and economic analysis to assist the designated business portfolio with decision support. Works closely with business leaders and Finance partners to provide financial advice and service that supports the financial management activities of the Group / portfolio.

Supports the monitoring and management of financial performance against plans, forecasts, initiatives and objectives. Generates information and insights that support key business decisions to drive value (e.

g., revenue growth, cost management, resource allocation, balance sheet optimization, etc.)

Lead the Finance Rotational Program, managing 16 20 rotational cohort members, actively recruiting new cohort members, development plan for cohort members, planning rotation activities and future placements, collaborating with the key stakeholders of the Program as the single point of accountability for the success of the Rotational Program, and provide timely updates to the Global CFO on the Rotational Program

Prepare materials for various BMO Board and Steering Committees (e.g., ACRC) and make presentations as necessary

Work with the Enterprise CFO’s direct reports to perform periodic skill gap assessments and develop Strategic Learning Plans for the Enterprise Finance teams

Design, and execute the Finance PMO’s quarterly Quality Assurance program leading to the PMRO’s quarterly attestation to the 2nd line Project and Change Management Risk function.

Managing two direct reports in partnership with Corporate Communications in developing and disseminating Finance Transformation communication to the broader Finance stakeholder group (1,500+ audience)

Work with Strategic Sourcing on contract evaluation and strategic decisions on resourcing for the Finance Transformation Program

Defines business requirements for analytics & reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision making.

Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.

Leads the execution of operational programs; assesses and adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution.

Assesses and adapts financial management service delivery; develops new capabilities to ensure ongoing success.

Supports / Leads financial planning, forecasting and performance reviews that utilize plan, forecast and actual financial information to develop annual plans and targets.

Performs variance analyses, and ad-hoc forward-looking analyses to improve understanding of business drivers as well as opportunities to improve performance for product improvement, profit improvement, financial impact of initiatives / strategic business decisions.

Supports the development of methodologies and policies to enable analyses and insights focused on financial dimensions (e.

g., revenue, expense, balance sheet, capital, etc.).

Determines the financial impact of initiatives / strategic business decisions, and incorporate the impacts into future financial forecasts / plans.

Assesses reasonableness of business cases and performs due-diligence during Investment reviews and approvals processes.

Works with the business to align key performance indicators with financial forecasts and plans.

Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide financial insights and recommendations.

Employs systems (e.g. customized exception reports, tracking reports etc.) to manage information.

Integrates information from multiple sources (e.g. financial and operational systems) to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and / or streamlined reporting.

Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues.

Acts as a trusted financial advisor to assigned business / group.

Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.

Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.

Assists in the development of strategic plans.

Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making e.g., economics, treasury, competitor information.

Operates at a group / enterprise-wide level and serves as a senior specialist resource across BMO.

Influences how teams / groups work together.

Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to multiple, interdependent, complex problems.

Communicates abstract concepts in simple terms.

Qualifications :

Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge.

Technical leader viewed as a thought leader for innovation.

Salary :

$113,900.00 - $211,800.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
