About the Role

This is a full-time role working within the Data Discovery and Enrichment Organization at LexisNexis. As a Senior Data Discovery and Enrichment Expert I, you will have an in-depth understanding of best practices for creating training data and evaluating output of AI models.

You will use your expertise in the legal domain to create advanced insights and recommendations from these tasks that are critical to creating the best features and products for our customers.

You will build the expertise to lead complex projects within the Data Discovery and Enrichment Organization.

About the Data Discovery and Enrichment Organization

Data Discovery and Enrichment Experts are subject matter experts in the legal domain, playing a key role in leading the transformation of legal technology.

They partner with data scientists, data engineers, and product managers to create cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions with legal data.

Data Discovery and Enrichment Experts provide annotation, evaluation, and feedback to their partners which are critical to the development of these solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Performing advanced legal research and analysis
  • Communicating actionable feedback and insights
  • Executing best practices in the creation and maintenance of training data and relevance evaluations
  • Collaborating with internal partners across a variety of different roles
  • Coaching and supporting junior Data Discovery and Enrichment Experts
  • Participating in presentations to internal stakeholders
  • Advocating for Responsible AI

Requirements

  • Have a Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree
  • Have advanced professional legal experience
  • Be competent in advanced legal research and writing
  • Have experience in coaching and mentoring others
  • Be a natural problem solver
  • Have a customer-centric mindset
  • Be able to lead complex projects
  • Have an intermediate understanding of machine learning and natural language processing technologies
  • Have significant experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and other similar programs
  • Have in-depth knowledge or understanding of agile and lean methodologies
