Cloud Infrastructure Architect / Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Architect / Engineer to join our growing cloud data platform team. You will play a pivotal role in supporting a critical program focused on the enablement of advanced analytics for enterprise consumption. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing key components of this critical platform and enabling it’s adoption across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement secure and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
Drive the design and build of the cloud data platform. Support efficient data acquisition from various systems across the organization for downstream consumption.
Leverage Azure DevOps for infrastructure automation and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Work collaboratively with other architects to create and understand design patterns and translate them into feasible and efficient implementation plans.
Work with the technical product management team in defining product and engineering roadmaps.
Seek opportunities to optimize and automate development activities in the data platforms.
Support release management activities, as well as diagnose and troubleshoot issues that occur on the platform and the jobs that are built.
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation of the cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and operations.
Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and provide senior-level expertise to the team.
Actively participate in code reviews and maintain a collaborative working relationship with developers to ensure alignment and avoid conflicting viewpoints.

Requirements:

7+ years as Cloud Infrastructure Architect or Engineer with a focus on data platforms, data architecture, and data integration technology solutions
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell
Demonstrated experience with Azure DevOps for infrastructure automation and continuous delivery.
In-depth knowledge of Cloud Technologies, specifically Azure PaaS and Azure Data Services (Azure, Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, ADLS).
Deep expertise in ETL concepts, scheduling, and orchestration
A strong programming background with the ability to write clean and efficient code.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a “figure it out” mentality.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Certifications in one or more of the following technology subject areas is an asset: Azure/Cloud, Database, Data, Business Intelligence, Data Science/ML/AI.
