Job description
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager for our 3PL client, to lead the facility and equipment upkeep at a brand-new, large-scale distribution center in Milton.

This is a high-impact role at a newly launching site. If you thrive in fast-paced, high-volume automated environments and enjoy building maintenance programs from the ground up, this is the position for you. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of complex conveyor systems, sorting technology, and overall facility infrastructure to meet rigorous operational demands.

Salary: 80-90k+Bonus

Full time permanent role

Responsibilities
Launch Leadership: Oversee the initial setup, testing, and commissioning of all facility equipment and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

Preventative Maintenance (PM): Design and implement a robust PM program to minimize downtime on high-speed sortation and conveyor systems.

Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring 24/7 coverage for the site.

Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external contractors, parts suppliers, and utility providers.

Budgeting & Inventory: Manage the maintenance budget, including the procurement of spare parts and specialized tools.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure all equipment and facility practices comply with OHSA standards and corporate safety protocols.

Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of maintenance leadership in a high-volume distribution or fulfillment center environment.

Technical Savvy: Deep knowledge of automated systems, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Launch Mentality: Previous experience with "Greenfield" projects or new site startups is highly preferred.

Communication: Ability to translate technical issues into operational impacts for the site leadership team.

Education: Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related Red Seal Trade certification.
