General Accountabilities :
- To maintain, service and repair all types of helicopter equipment operated by Hydro One Networks Inc.
- Helicopter maintenance and other related duties will be performed as outlined in the Hydro One Networks Inc. (Helicopter Services) Maintenance Control Manual, Maintenance Policy Manual and Policies and Procedures Manual.
- In the course of conducting regulatory maintenance activities, ensure that all necessary replacement parts are installed as per the manufacturer specifications and Transport Canada requirements.
- Ensure that all documentation required by Hydro One Networks Inc., Transport Canada and the manufacturer is prepared upon completion of maintenance related activities.
- On occasion, assume the responsibilities of other satellite base maintenance engineers.
- Position will require extensive travel throughout the Province of Ontario for maintenance and operational support of the company helicopter fleet
Selection Criteria :
- Possess a valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License.
- Preference will be given to individuals with avionics experience
- Experience as a maintenance inspector / quality assurance inspector will be considered as an asset
- Must have a clean abstract with no Transport Canada violations.
- Transport Canada approved helicopter type-training courses (Airbus AS350 B2 / B3) with applicable engine training.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driver's abstract.
- Requires a sufficient quantity of hand tools necessary to carryout maintenance related activities on AS 350 series helicopter types.
- Requires a minimum 5 years’ experience in the trade after certification, competent in both oral and written communication and computer skills.
- Minimum 3 years experience on type (AS350B3, H125)
