You Will
- Initiate, plan and execute projects in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures, and the methodologies and standards established by the PMO and in alignment with the AIRB Program Governance
- Manage several initiatives of different priority levels through the entire project life cycle Support
- In collaboration with project sponsors and stakeholders, define project scope, objectives, approach and deliverables
- Lead and support multi-functional on-site, off-site and virtual project teams to help them overcome barriers and perform at their best, particularly through times of ambiguity and / or changes
- Develop / maintain project plans, resource plans, budgets, and project governance documents
- Track project deliverables and milestones
- Manage the Project Change Control process
- Identify and manage risks, issues and interdependencies and report up critical items to the AIRB Program Management team
- Prepare status reports in accordance to the Program governance standards
- Ensure project artefacts and control documents are completed and filed according to PMO standards
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to the project team
- Oversee the production and approval of project deliverables
- Lead or facilitate project meetings
- Document minutes and action items from project meetings
- Participate in the gathering and production of business requirements
Your Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in Risk Management, Policy, Compliance, Law or Bank Regulation; or Consulting on bank practices in any of these fields.
- Technical understanding of AIRB, IFRS 9, ICAAP (including stress testing) from data collection, methodology, implementation, reporting and use
- Post-secondary education (diploma / degree) preferably in computer science, business, finance, or comparable discipline
- At least 5 years’ experience in the regulated financial services or Insurance industry (including internal and external compliance requirements, financial reporting, and service administration)
- High degree of proficiency and experience in Project Management concepts (Waterfall, Iterative, Incremental and Agile methodologies)
- People Management / Leadership and coaching / mentorship experience is a major asset
- PMP certification is strongly preferred
- Agile, Scrum Master, Business Process Improvement, ITIL or Change Management Certification is a major asset
- Knowledge of SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, MS Office tools, business systems, technology infrastructure, software development, data warehousing, data centres and related concepts / terminology
- Exposure to both a large and small corporate culture is preferred
- Ability to take charge and work independently
- Strong time management, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond in a clear, concise and professional manner to all project stakeholders including senior executives.
- Vendor Management experience
- Proven delivery track record in both business and Technology projects
- Effective Risk Management & Issue Resolution and ability to leverage PMO Standards & EQBs risk management resources and tools to ensure project risks are proactively understood and quickly resolving risks that have become issues
