On behalf of our client in the Government Services Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Senior Project Manager/Leader.

Senior Project Manager/Leader – Job Description

• Create project outlines, accountabilities and monitor progress

• Execute multi-ministry PSRN projects using project management framework & in collaboration with Ministry Partner Representatives

• Contribute to Integrated Project specific plans ensuring horizontal integration of all milestones, deliverables, & interdependencies with internal GMCB

• Manage project scope-creep; risk register; & project portal

• Identify, manage & oversee project resources to deliver on project milestones according to approved project plan

• Collaborate with Ministry Partner Leads to ensure project deliverables meet their specific requirements

• Bring forward any risks, issues, concerns & mitigation strategies to Ministry Project Leads for consideration

• Communicate risks, issues, and status within & across PSRN projects and teams

• Prepare Ministry Project Leads in presenting status reporting of project milestones and deliverables for Ministry specific roll up and project governance committees

• Define, scope, & baseline milestones / deliverables based on transition & steady-state requirements as defined by GMCB project teams

• Develop and review project status reports and scorecards according to an approved integrated plan

• Member of the PMO Project Review Committee

• Provide project management and leadership related to the implementation of the PSRN project

• Strategic thinking skills and can provide input into organization effectiveness, considering risk and change management methodologies

• Engage in effective consultation, negotiation and mediation activities to build consensus

• Identify problems and make appropriate recommendations for resolutions.

• Effective communication skills to take large complex information and present issues in a clear logical manner

• Knowledge of radio and/or telecommunications systems would be beneficial

• Project management experience to lead, coordinate and participate in large projects within timelines

Senior Project Manager/Leader – Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of Project Management Experience

• Project Management Skills

• Experience managing large-scale projects along with results and lessons learned.

• Experience with different project management methodologies

• Effective management of RAID logs

• Time management skills and ability to prioritize work

• Expertise with PM tools (e.g., MS Project, Gantt charts, etc.)

• Negotiation and Political Acuity
