Position Summary
Thales is looking for a Software Integration and Network Support Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing & maintaining various networks and environments in the integration lab and provide direct 1st and 2nd line support to various projects.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Support developer requests and any R&D projects as applicable; Perform installation and integration of new applications;
Provide end-user support for application level requests for various projects.
- Ensure the integration lab support team lead, development leads are made aware of all issues, risks and concerns in a timely manner;
- Implement methodologies to integrate various software components including commercial software to produce a stable baseline upon which, all other software can be placed for repeatable testing;
Implementation and execution of system performance test cases
Managing Active Directory environments; Managing data storage, disaster recovery; Managing and maintaining network devices such as firewalls, routers and switches;
Ensure adequate antivirus protection is maintained
Identify and recommend improvements regarding Compute / Storage and Network resource; Produce supporting documentation as required such as network design, installation support document, etc;
As applicable, analyze, investigate, document and report on information security issues.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of previous IS / IT experience; Excellent knowledge of Active Directory, MS Office Suites, Group policy management, ESXi configuration, TCP / IP protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Computer Tech or related discipline from a recognized university / college.
- Experience as Windows server admin, SharePoint system admin; Experience using and troubler shooting latest Windows and Linux Server / client versions;
Very good understanding of IS / IT infrastructure (networking, security, hardware, etc.); Experience using VCenter to create various environments (storage, cpu, network)
Knowledge of various scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, PHP, Batch); Familiar with Azure
