Cook Helper

Permanent Part Time

Location : Forteau, NL

PCN : 56093POS)

The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of cooking tasks at the Labrador South Health Center in Forteau, NL.

This position reports directly to the Site Manager.

Qualifications :

• Graduation from High School or equivalent;
• Experience in food preparation, preferably supplemented by an approved cooks training course;
• An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered;
• The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check;

Duties : (Included but not limited to)

• Prepares regular meals for special diet patients;
• Works independently;
• Bakes bread, pastries and other bakery products;
• Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen;
• Domestic / Office work may be required;

Other related duties as required.

Salary :

CG-18 of the NAPE-HS Salary Scales, $19.66 to $21.18 per hour, plus the Applicable Labrador Allowance.

Hours of Work :

37.5 hours bi-weekly; variable shifts;
