Position Summary
Mask Fit Tester, Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness
Your goal in this position is to administer mask fit testing, including scheduling appointments, conducting testing, and participation in the general hospital orientation.
You have exceptional customer service skills and have an interest in Occupational health and safety. You demonstrate organizational skills, initiative and problem solving ability.
This position supports the Hospital’s academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and / or transforming care through research and innovation.
This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for staff, physicians, volunteers, learners, patients and families.
On a practical level, you will
- Provide quantitative and qualitative mask fit testing to all new employees, physicians and volunteers and providing retesting every two years
- Keep accurate records within Occupational Health software and scanning to the employee health record.
- Provide monthly compliance reports to managers
- Check inventory and replenish supplies as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a health and safety environment, preferred
- Enrolment in a degree or diploma program in health or safety related field, preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Bilingualism in French / English an asset
- Bilingualism in French / English an asset

These are Part Time Casual positions with mandatory 8 hours Day shifts in the Occupational Health & Safety department. Evenings and weekend shifts are possible as needed.
