The MDG Group Leader will oversee and manage a team of consultants focused on implementing SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions for their clients.
This role is responsible for driving successful MDG projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and developing MDG expertise within the consulting team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage a team of MDG consultants, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management
- Oversee multiple concurrent MDG implementation projects for clients across industries
- Drive MDG solution design and architecture decisions aligned with client business requirements
- Conduct MDG requirements gathering workshops and translate client needs into comprehensive solutions
- Ensure MDG best practices and SAP standards are followed across projects
- Manage client relationships and serve as an escalation point for project issues
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and quality to ensure successful delivery
- Develop MDG implementation methodologies and accelerators to improve efficiency
- Stay current on MDG product updates and new features to provide thought leadership to clients
- Contribute to pre-sales activities and proposal development for MDG opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 8+ years of SAP MDG implementation experience across multiple domains (Finance, Materials, Business Partners, etc.)
- 3+ years of team leadership experience managing consultants
- Strong knowledge of MDG architecture, data models, workflows, and integration scenarios
- Experience with MDG cloud edition and hybrid MDG / ERP landscapes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- SAP MDG certification preferred
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful MDG implementations and the ability to drive complex data governance initiatives.
