We are actively seeking a seasoned Commercial / Technology Lawyer with a proven track record of working on a wide range of commercial technology agreements to join the team in Toronto.

ABOUT THE COMPANY AND THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client, a large national law firm is looking to grow its Commercial / Technology practice group in Toronto, ON with an experienced associate.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Drafting, revising, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements such as MSAs, SaaS agreements, data processing agreements, distribution agreements, in-bound and out-bound IP licenses, and more.
- Advise and support for online and social media businesses, as well providing expertise on privacy, intellectual property law, and compliance-related matters.
- Large portion of work will pertain to M&A transactions related to the technology / IP sector, including conducting due diligence and drafting and reviewing of IP agreements on related deals.
- Client management from start to finish - especially M&A files.
- 100% solicitor work, no litigation of any kind.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 4+ years of Commercial / Technology experience.
- Significant experience with a wide variety of commercial agreements.
- Comes with significant client management experience.
- Admitted to the Law Society of Ontario.
- Located in Toronto. Must be comfortable with hybrid work model.
