Responsibilities :

Negotiate and draft a wide range of technology-related agreements, including software licenses, SaaS agreements, technology development agreements, and intellectual property licensing agreements.

Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on matters related to technology transactions, including data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure that technology transactions align with business objectives and mitigate legal risks.

The ability to provide entrepreneurial, pragmatic, business-oriented advice in a large, fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism and outstanding business judgement.

Qualifications :

Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

Minimum of 4+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on technology transactions, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department setting.

Strong knowledge of Canadian and international laws and regulations related to technology, intellectual property, data privacy, and cybersecurity.

Preferred Qualifications (not required but considered advantageous) :

Familiarity with emerging technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively advise clients and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
