We're looking for a Director, Food and Beverage who can be positive, assertive and efficient when it comes to planning, organizing and managing departmental operations, and guiding the team towards creative achievements. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop the offer, action plan and budget around the banquets, meetings and events department as well as the catering department to ensure profitable and smooth operations.
• Participate in the yearly strategic planning meeting with the hotel upper management
• Recruit, welcome, train, support, develop and manage the performance of the department's employees.
• Plan staffing needs in addition to providing them with a safe and pleasant working environment through regular communication as well as good inventory and material management.
• Ensure quality and maintain standards in terms of production, service and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee the service and production sides as one big team.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a management role
• Sharp skills in event planning, enhancing service offerings, good sense of time and resource management
• Outgoing personality with a dynamic yet professional attitude
• Proven ability to lead and support teams in all kinds of situations
• Knowledge and application of labor standards and basic principles of health and safety, as well as hygiene and sanitation
• Sense of leadership including excellent communication skills
• Bilingualism, an asset, due to the nature of the tasks, or interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners or customers, anywhere in Canada.
