As a Senior Contract Analyst, Medical Administration with Vancouver Coastal Health you will :
- Provide leadership and support to the organization by ensuring Medical Staff contracts and deliverables are effectively managed within the CoC.
- Be responsible for drafting contracts to reflect services and increasingly, novel service delivery models; and undertaking due diligence by completing relevant contract support documentation and approval process.
- Be accountable for developing, socializing and maintaining a comprehensive Contact Management Framework for medical staff contacts within the CoC, and must take a proactive approach to create efficient process and policy-oriented solutions to business issues and trends.
- Manage many concurrent projects and balances competing priorities based on a broad understanding of organizational needs.
- Work collaboratively with the team providing advice on best practices in all aspects of the contract cycle, including contract planning, development and ongoing management.
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with corporate Medical Staff Engagement and Contract Strategies, VCH Finance, internal and external Medical Staff billing contractors, operations leaders, and partners in other health authorities, and potentially Ministry of Health representatives.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline with seven (7) years related experience, preferably in the health care field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid BC Driver’s license required as local area travel within the designated Community of Care geographic area may require the use of a vehicle.
Knowledge & Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Services Plan fee guides and billing procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and highly developed interpersonal, facilitation, negotiation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex health care programs and working in a fast-paced and public environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to client focused services and teamwork with direct experience working collaboratively and effectively with Medical Staff.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate administrative, professional and operational aspects of the department throughout VCH in an effective and efficient manner.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture an environment where quality improvement principles are embraced and used on a continuous basis.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a strong sense of teamwork and principles of team.
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Good decision making / problem solving skills.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections.
Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks.
